Placement in Design & Manufacturing
Goal: become self sufficient in designing working products and in operating at least three machines
Report to: Manufacturing Manager
Tools:
- Solidworks, sheet metal

Deliverables: comprehensive products designs and confidence in operating at least three types of machines.
What you will do: design products, programme the machines, follow through the whole manufacturing cycle until perfect products are manufactured
Location: Design Office and Unit 3 Manufacturing Department - CAEM, Unit 3, Jamage Industrial Estate, Talke - ST7 1XW
Hours: Design 9 to 5, Manufacturing 8:30 to 4:30
Placement in Design
Goal: become self sufficient in designing retail display solutions
Report to: Product Manager
Tools:
- Solidworks, sheet metal
- hand tools to assemble prototypes
Deliverables: be able to interpret the clients' needs, pain points and constraints to deliver designs that tick every requirement.
What you will do: listen, interpret, design, validate prototypes, go to site to assemble
Location: Design Office - CAEM, Unit 3, Jamage Industrial Estate, Talke - ST7 1XW
Hours: 9 to 5
Placement in Manufacturing
Goal: become self sufficient in operating machineries
Report to: Manufacturing Manager
Tools:
- Laser (nesting software, Amada laser cutting, Amada autoloader)
- CNC Punching (nesting software, Amada CNC puncher, Amada autoloader)
- Panel Bender (programming, Salvagnini P2)
- Pressbrakes (programming, Coastone pressbrakes 150/200/300, various bending tools)

Deliverables: be able to programme the machines and manufacture any batch within the permitted tolerances.
What you will do: programme the machines, follow through the whole manufacturing cycle until perfect products are manufactured
Location: Unit 3 Manufacturing Department - CAEM, Unit 3, Jamage Industrial Estate, Talke - ST7 1XW
Hours: 8:30 to 4:30
